When Jennifer initially helped me to buy my first home, we saw over 20 homes in 2 weekends. I have to be clear – I can be very indecisive. I had also made up my mind about where I wanted to live. Jenny pointed out that what I was looking for wasn’t really available in the area I thought I needed to buy in. She asked if I would expand my search; pointing out that it wasn’t really much further to the areas where I would find the kind of home I was looking for.
Jenny gave me the space to see for myself what out there was and come to my own conclusions.
Her suggestions allowed me to get there on my own. She would present the facts about the home without sharing her personal opinions, likes or dislikes and then leave me to feel my “light.” She could tell when I liked a home by the way I lit up.
Where I initially didn’t want to go was actually where I ended up buying. And I fell in love with it!
Her advice also was: Know your number, what you’re comfortable with. And if it goes beyond that price — are you willing to walk away? Are you going to feel that disappointment? So, we had a strategy during the bidding war. And my closing date was flexible – and that turned out to be a big advantage – I didn’t know that.
Now with Marcus, Jenny knew we were wanting to start a family and was able to help us keep looking rather than take on an older home requiring big renovations. She was able to recognize our inexperience and provided guidance, asking the right questions to get us to reflect on the choices we were thinking of making.

She advised us to get our mortgage first so we knew what we could buy. She was also able to suggest how to stage the house for sale without stripping it down completely. She gave us great feedback!
I need to methodically think through the pros & cons before making such a big decision. Because Jennifer was very factual it felt very honest and realistic. I could relate to her feedback and suggestions. She really met my need for fact-based information.
