We’ve been working with Katrina since 2022 upon recommendation from our son, Cameron, when we moved from Peterborough to Ottawa to be closer to our kids and 10 grandchildren. Cam was a first-time home buyer and Katrina really worked for him and got him into the market. We didn’t know Ottawa or anyone in Ottawa so we started emailing and video calling. We saw 6 homes our first weekend and bought one in Findlay Creek.
Then in 2024 we decided to move further out of town and were trying to sell our first home. We weren’t a 100% familiar with rural Ottawa, we’d only been here a couple of years. You like to have a realtor who know the areas and what you can expect. She gave us a lot of her time and in spending that time with us she knew what we were looking for. There were times in our search where we were going to settle for something and she always took us back to “remember what you’re looking for.” Sometimes we were on the front steps, hadn’t gone in yet – and she’d say “this is not what you’re looking for.” She had to talk us out of a couple of places. She protected us. Whether it was buying our country home or selling our city home, Katrina was a hard negotiator.
On the night we got an offer on our Findlay Creek home, our finished basement backed up with sewage – along with 8 other homes on the street! We called Katrina the in the middle of the night because we had an offer on the table that she was going to have to deal with. It took 6 weeks to get that cleaned up! Katrina kept tabs on us and even sat in on a couple of meetings with the contractor. She went out of her way to be part of it. She always assured us that she was in it with us. We had a lot of emotion around the flooding, the sewage and the clean-up. I think she sees a side of people that most don’t see. We put the house back on the market the day after the clean-up was completed and received an offer within 2 weeks. She really helped us.
Katrina just goes that extra mile.
